Meet Caitlin Cimino, Greenough’s Newest AE

Caitlin Cimino
Caitlin Cimino

I was a Greenough college intern before I started working with the company full-time, so I have a special appreciation for employees who join the team after spending some time as an intern. That’s why I was so excited to see Caitlin Cimino, a 2013 Greenough summer intern, come back on board a few weeks ago. Caitlin joins Greenough’s all-star media team, which she was an honorary member of during her internship.

Learn a little bit about Caitlin in our interview below!

How did you find your internship with Greenough?

I found Greenough through the career center at my alma mater, Connecticut College.

How did your experience turn into a job?

I reported to Andrea (Greenough’s Media Relations VP) during my internship, and she gave me a lot of opportunities and responsibilities – I even got to do some pitching! After the internship was over, Andrea and I kept in touch, and that eventually turned into an interview and a job.

If you could tell the story of any company or organization, which would you choose?

Probably a major sports team, like the Celtics. I love playing sports, but I also appreciate them as a

storytelling medium. The rivalries, the personalities of the different teams – it would be a lot of fun to help define those!

That leads into my next question – your hobbies outside of work?

Sports, especially basketball – I played in college. Since I moved to Boston I’ve been looking for a flag football or kickball league to join. I’m also a huge music fan, and love going to concerts.

Who’s your favorite writer or journalist?

I love any book written byJodi Picoult. All her books are written about really intense, controversial topics and I can never seem to put them down.

If you could take the place of one historical figure, who would it be?

Eleanor Roosevelt, because she was one of the first true civil rights activists. She advocated for expanded roles for women in the workplace and equal treatment of people regardless of race or gender, which is something that is still important today.

What about if you could have one superpower?

I’ve always wanted to have invisibility, but I’ve never been able to put my finger on exactly why – I just think it would be cool!

Lastly, something we all need for when media lists or coverage reports have to get done – what’s your Pandora “paperwork” station?

Summer Hits of the ‘90s! The throwback songs always put me in a good mood and remind me of summer, my favorite season.
