GUARDIAN ARMORS UP: Digital Guardian makes a deal

Waltham-based data security firm Digital Guardian is expanding its coverage to the Internet cloud, by acquiring Armor5 Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif. Digital Guardian, formerly known as Verdasys, makes software to protect data files wherever they reside on a corporate network. Armor5′s products are designed to protect sensitive information when it is stored on cloud service like Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive, or on employees’ smartphones, laptops, and tablets.
