Employee Spotlight: Account Supervisor Ryan Levasseur
I recently joined Greenough Brand Storytellers after six years at another Boston agency representing consumer brands, nonprofits, media companies and travel and hospitality clients. Previously, I was a producer for an Emmy-winning, Boston-based lifestyle TV program. My public relations experience includes strategizing and executing campaigns for product launches and grand openings, securing stories in top media outlets and positioning CEOs and corporate executives as industry thought leaders.
Over the years, I have developed a passion for identifying untold stories and packaging them for channels that will best reach my clients’ audiences. Thanks to years working in a newsroom (paired with my obsession with watching and reading the day’s news), crafting stories is second nature. Likewise, my time on the agency side has refined my knack for identifying the best story venues, and this has led to strong relationships with both local and national media and coverage for clients in outlets such as The New York Times, ABC’s World News Tonight, Food & Wine magazine, NBC’s TODAY, Family Circle magazine, Martha Stewart Living, The Boston Globe and USA Today, to name a few.
When I develop a media strategy for a client, I like to explain how I plan to present their product, service or expertise to media. I want them to see how their stories will be viewed through the eyes of the media. What questions will reporters ask? What assets will they need? What deadlines will they face? I find that when clients understand the process behind great stories, together we’re able to craft stronger, more compelling pitches that deliver results.
At Greenough Brand Storytellers, my passion for uncovering and telling great stories continues alongside talented, passionate and forward-thinking professionals who “get it.” I haven’t missed a beat since joining the team a few months ago, and, thanks to my existing relationships with local and national media, I’m already securing breakthrough stories for healthcare, consumer and non-profit clients.
